Colour Classics Issue 2:2

Here’s the next issue in the recolour/remaster series of classic Tank Girl strips from her deadline days. They are worth buying for the covers alone. Each strip has been faithfully remastered and if you look closely at the stories that were originally in colour, you’ll see they have been tweaked to give the colours more punch and impact compared to what was collected in ‘hole of Tank Girl’. You’ll also find stories that can be seen in colour here for the first time (eg. ‘The Guide to Joy’ a personal favourite).

In this issue, we see the stories from 1991-1993:

Blue Helmet (complete with bonus strip across the bottom), Askey & Hunch, f**ked up Afro zombie babes from nowhere, fall and rise and fall and the ship in the bottle, The Guide to Joy, Boogas Christmas carol and finally Jet Girl In ‘Hairy Pussy!

That’s a lot of tank for your measly currency! As always I’m impressed with the spectacular colour revamp/remaster! These stories genuinely haven’t looked better and it’s a joy to see all the little extras that featured in the original run are included (eg. see ‘son of zoro’).

Revisiting these classic stories never gets old, with the fresh coat of paint and the spare wheel included, I must say a lot of bigger comic franchises need to take note! Full of fart jokes, stray bullets, hi jinx and adventures I don’t see why anyone shouldn’t pick these up.

For both ‘OG’ deadliner’s and new fans…as Devo said…Something for Everybody!

Physical readers have the choice of three cover variants! Choose your cover wisely…or if you can’t…BUY THEM ALL!
